Kristin School is a private co-educational composite school located in Albany, North Shore, New Zealand. Kristin is an International Baccalaureate® World School with approximately 1800 students. Kristin educates from early learning, junior school, middle school to senior school.
Based at Kristin School Ecommerce Team from Dec 2013 - Feb 2014; I was the sole front end web developer within a core team of 4 for this relaunch project for the Kristin School web portal.
BRIEF
My main responsibilities within the development team at Kristin; working on the Liferay 6.1.2 themes front end development for Java/JSP web portal custom displays, css, jQuery, & javascript
Completing the design of web themes, for Kristin’s new website to be launched end of January 2014. This also included bug fixing for cross browser back to ie8, & multi-device functionality (desktop, tablet, mobile)
Refactored & recoded various sections of the site to remove unnecessary LEGACY html & css in order to improve site speed & reduce page load time.
Reviewing code on web project, ensuring the use of technologies such as css & javaScript are code minified & optimised, & image compression, for page load speed & reduction of server requests
