INTRODUCTION

Tesco is a leading retailer, with over 400,000 colleagues, serving millions of customers every week, in stores & online.

Based at Tesco Head office Nov 2012 - Sept 2013; I was a key web development team member for Tesco F&F clothing website, including processing site redesign/restructure for a responsive web ui/ux build. Improving implementation of frontend code on CMS Venda platform, & driving Email marketing campaigns pushing sales & brand communication

BRIEF

Main responsibilities; supporting the current Tesco clothing site, & the process of site redesign, restructure for a responsive web design layout & build. Developed fully functional mock-ups for the F&F product details page & outfit builder page for user experience testing.

Improved the implementation of front end code on the CMS Venda platform, allowing for more effective, consistent & efficient updates throughout the F&F site.

Refactored & recoded various sections of the site to remove unnecessary LEGACY html & css in order to improve site speed & reduce page load time.

Peer coding with other developers: reviewing code on a project by project basis, to ensure the use of technologies such as css & JavaScript are code minify & optimised, image compression & reduction of server requests.
